Abstract
The aim of the Master's thesis "Opportunities for the Development of Alternative Social Services for Seniors in Latvia" is to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the situation in the care service environment of Latvian seniors, identifying alternative solutions for their leisure time. The topicality of the topic is determined by the significant demographic changes affecting the Latvian society. The increasing proportion of seniors and the declining birth rate are putting pressure on the country's social and health care systems. There is an emigration of the economically active population. Modern medical advances are extending life expectancy, but the quality of life of older people is still often an unresolved issue. The study is developing a project manual - a guide for project implementation - based on the analysis of data and information.
