Ferdinanda de Sosīra darbā „Vispārīgās valodniecības kurss” izmantotās valodniecības terminoloģijas tulkošanas grūtības

Abstract

Ferdinanda de Sosīra “Vispārīgās valodniecības kursu” var salīdzināt ar J. S. Baha ieguldījumu mūzikā, V. Šekspīra ieguldījumu angļu literatūrā vai Ī. Ņūtona ieguldījumu fizikā. Tomēr šis darbs nav tulkots latviešu valodā, tāpēc rodas daudzas problēmas saistībā ar Sosīra teorijas lingvistisko terminoloģiju. Šajā noslēguma darbā tiek pētīta “Vispārīgās valodniecības kursā” izmantotā terminoloģija, sagatavojot lingvistisko terminu sarakstu un tos sašķirojot pēc tulkošanas grūtībām, un tiek ierosināti daži risinājumi. Atsevišķa pētījuma daļa ir veltīta plašākam tulkošanas problēmu aprakstam, kā piemēru izmantojot terminus langue, langage, parole.

The contribution made by de Saussure’s work “Cours de la linguistique générale” to Linguistics is comparable to the contribution of J. S. Bach to music or that of W. Shakespeare to English literature or that of Newton to physics. However, there is no Latvian translation of this monumental work and therefore many problems arise in connection with the terminology of de Saussure’s theory. This research paper is a review of the linguistic terminology used in the Cours; this review permits to establish a list of the above mentioned terms, to sort them according to the translation problems they pose and to offer some solutions. A separate part is devoted to the illustration of translation problems, based on the example of the terms langue, langage, parole.
