Pašcieņas saistība ar emocionālo empātiju pieaugušajiem

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt kāda ir saistība starp pašcieņu un emocionālo empātiju pieaugušajiem. Pētījumā piedalījās 54 respondenti, vecumā no 18 līdz 61 gadam (M=33,63, SD=10,23), no tiem 49 bija sievietes un 5 vīrieši. Datu ievākšanai tika izmantotas divas aptaujas – Rozenberga pašcieņas aptauja (Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Rosenberg, 1965; aptauju Latvijā adaptējusi A.Miltuze, 1996) un Emocionālās empātijas aptauja (The Questionnaire Measure of Emotional Empathy, Mehrabian & Epstein, 1972; aptauju Latvijā adaptējusi J.Ļubenko, 2005). Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti liecina par to, ka pastāv statistiski nozīmīga negatīva saistība starp pašcieņu un emocionālo empātiju. Pieaugot pašcieņas līmenim, samazinās emocionālās empātijas rādītāji.

The aim of this study was to examine the relation among self-esteem and emotional empathy in adults. The study involved 54 respondents aged 18 to 61 years (M=33,63, SD=10,23), of which 49 were female and 5 men. Two surveys were used to collect data – Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965, scale adapted in Latvia by A. Miltuze,1996) and The Questionnaire Measure of Emotional Empathy (The Questionnaire Measure of Emotional Empathy, Mehrabian & Epstein, 1972; scale adapted in Latvia by J. Ļubenko, 2005). The results of the study indicate that there is statistically significant negative correlation between self-esteem and emotional empathy. As the level of self-esteem increases, the indicators of emotional empathy decrease.
