Abstract
The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between ADHD characteristics, attitudes towards AI and job crafting. The study involved 239 respondents, 24.7% of whom were male (n = 59) and 75.3% female (n = 180). The age of the participants ranged from 18 to 70 years (M = 36.14; SD = 12.54). Surveys that were used in the research were: “Adult Executive Functioning Inventory” (ADEXI; Holst & Thorell, 2017), “The Approach-Avoidance Job Crafting Scale” (Lopper et al, 2023) and “The General Attitudes towards Artificial Intelligence Scale (GAAIS)” (Schepman & Rodway, 2020), which was initially adapted into Latvian as part of this thesis. The results of the study suggest that there is an association between positive attitudes towards AI and the adult executive function ‘impulse control’, and an association between the adult executive function and three of the four avoidance strategies. There are associations between approach strategies and the subscale ‘impulse control’ in two out of four cases.
