Kooperatīvās mācīšanās stratēģijas vidusskolas skolēnu autonomas mācīšanās prasmju attīstībā angļu valodas stundās

Abstract

Autonomija ir katra cilvēka tiesība. Mācīšanās autonomā veidā dod iespējas skolēniem attīstīt viņu personības, attīstīt iemaņas, attīstīt prasmes un bagātināt zināšanas. Būt autonomam skolas vidē arī nozīmē strādāt kopā ar citiem cilvēkiem, būt mācību kopienas dalībniekam. Kooperatīvā mācīšanās sekmē mijiedarbību un sadarbību skolēnu starpā un piedāvā dažādus veidus kopīgam darbam. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot kā dažādas kooperatīvas mācīšanas stratēģijas var palīdzēt vidusskolas skolēnu autonomās mācīšanās prasmju attīstībā.

Izvēlētā pētījuma metode bija gadījuma pētījums. Septiņu nedēļu laika periodā divām dažādam Rīgas 40. vidusskolas grupām tika dota iespēja attīstīt viņu autonomās mācīšanas prasmes.

Pirms pētījuma tika veikta intervija ar angļu valodas skolotāju. Skolēniem tika dotas divas anketas – pētījuma sākumā un beigās. Viņu pieredze un prasmes strādāt sadarbojoties tika ņemtas vērā. Dažādas aktivitātes, izmantojot kooperatīvās mācīšanās stratēģijas tika organizētas un skolēnu pašizvērtēšanas tika analizēti.

Dati no intervijas ar skolotāju un pirmās anketas apliecināja, ka skolēni netika iepazīti ar kooperatīvo mācīšanos, bet bija tai gatavi. Dati apliecināja, ka kooperatīvā mācīšanās vislabāk var tikt izmantota autonomas mācīšanās prasmju attīstībai ar diskusijas tipa kooperatīvās mācīšanās stratēģijām. To apliecināja arī skolēnu pašizvērtēšanas un viedokļi par KM stratēģiju izmantošanu klasē.

Autonomy is every human’s right. Learning in an autonomous way provides opportunities for students to develop their personalities, develop skills and enrich their knowledge. Being autonomous in school environment also means working together with other people, being a member of the learning community. Cooperative learning fosters interaction and collaboration among students and offers various ways for common work. The aim of the research was to find out how different cooperative learning strategies can help in developing secondary school students’ autonomous learning skills.

The chosen research method was a case study. During the period of seven weeks two different groups of Riga Secondary School № 40 students had been given the opportunity to develop their autonomous learning skills.

Before the research an interview with the teacher of English had been carried out. Learners were given two questionnaires – at the beginning and at the end of the research. Their experience and ability to work cooperatively had been taken into account. Different activities using cooperative learning strategies had been conducted and students’ self-evaluations were analysed.

The data of the interview with the teacher and the first questionnaire had shown that students were not introduced to cooperative learning, but were ready for it. The data have shown that cooperative learning could be used for developing secondary school students’ autonomous learning skills with the discussion type of cooperative learning strategies being the most effective. It was evident also according to students’ self-evaluations and the opinions of learners about using CL strategies in the classroom.
