Poļu etniskā minoritāte Baltijas jūras reģionā

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir “Poļu etniskā minoritāte Baltijas Jūras Reģionā”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt poļu minoritātes situāciju un identitāti reģionā, pievēršot īpašu uzmanību Latvijas, Lietuvas un Zviedrijas gadījumiem. Darbā tika secināts, ka poļu minoritātes situācija reģionā nav homogēna. Poļi vienmēr spēj labi pielāgoties dažādiem apstākļiem un ir iecietīgi pret citu kultūru, taču kultūras un dzīves apstākļi ietekmē viņus vairāk vai mazāk, tādējādi atbalstot, apdraudot vai absorbējot viņu identitāti. Darba hipotēze tika pierādīta: jo labāka ir poļu etniskās minoritātes situācija kādā valstī, jo vairāk tiek attīstīta poļu identitāte tajā. The topic of the thesis is „Polish Ethnic Minority in the Baltic Sea Region”. The work aims to explore the situation of Polish minority and identity in the region, paying attention to cases of Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden. The paper concludes, that Polish minority situation in the region is not homogenous. Poles in all cases demonstrate their good adapting skills and ability to tolerate others, but the cultural and living conditions influent them to a greater or lesser extent, supporting, threatening or gradually absorbing their identity. The hypothesis of the work was confirmed: the better there is the situation of Polish ethnic minority in a particular country, the more Polish identity is developed there.
