Ovidija Pēnelope: tēla poētika

Abstract

Poēma Heroides atklāj Ovidijam raksturīgo žanru sajaukšanu, tā ir rakstīta kā mitoloģiskas personas, Uliksa sievas Pēnelopes, vēstule vīram. Poēmas sižets aizgūts no Homēra eposa Odiseja. Darbs tapis Ovīdija daiļrades pirmajā posmā, kad autora darbos dominē rotaļīgums un ironija, taču tajā ienāk mitoloģisks sižets, kas raksturīgs otrajam daiļrades posmam. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt Ovidija Pēnelopes tēla veidošanu darba Heroides pirmajā vēstulē. Poēmā jūtamas gan vēstules, gan mīlas elēģijas iezīmes. Abiem žanriem raksturīgs subjektīvisms un koncentrēšanās uz cilvēka emocionālo pārdzīvojumu attēlojumu, kas atklājas gan valodas, gan sižeta līmenī. The poem Heroides demonstrates merging of genre - a coloration of Ovid; it is composed as a letter to the husband of a mythological heroine, Ulysses’ wife Penelope. The storyline is derived from Homer’s Odyssey. Including a mythological subject that is characteristic of Ovid’s second creative period, the piece however represents the first period when playfulness and irony prevails his work. This bachelor research project aims at exploring the formation of Penelope’s character throughout the first letter of Heroides. The poem implies features of epistolary writing and love elegy. Both genres join subjectivity and portrayal of an individual’s emotional experience expressed through the speech and subject. Keywords: Ovid, Penelope, poetics of the character, letter, love elegy
