Ieslodzījuma vietas Latvijā (1918–1940): infrastruktūra un ieslodzīto sastāvs

Abstract

Ieslodzījuma vietu nozare ir būtiska sociālās un iekšpolitikas nozares sastāvdaļa. Turklāt līdz šim tā nav pētīta. Maģistra darbā aplūkots plašs jautājumus loks sākot no ieslodzījuma vietu tiesiskā regulējuma, infrastruktūras un materiālā nodrošinājuma, beidzot ar ieslodzīto sastāvu pēc noziegumu veidiem, nacionālā sastāva, izglītības, kā arī cietumu administrācijas darbību ieslodzīto labošanā un izglītošanā. Jānorāda, ka kopumā Latvijas ieslodzījuma vietas attīstījās atbilstoši laikmeta uzskatiem par noziedzības apkarošanu. Nozare funkcionēja sekmīgi tai atvēlēto finanšu līdzekļu ietvaros.

Sector of imprisonment places is vital ingredient of social and internal policy. Besides until now it has not been researched yet. In masters degree research there are analyzed various problems. From legal system of imprisonment places, infrastructure, material provision, till structure of imprisoned persons by shape of crime, national structure, education level. Activity of prison administration in prisoners’ education and correction also has been researched. In general, imprisonment places of Latvia developed accordingly to period thought about the fighting criminality. Sector functioned successfully according to financial resources it had.
