Bakalaura darba "Latvijas neatkarības idejas attīstības atspoguļojums lielākajos latviešu preses izdevumos (1988-1990" mērķis ir izpētīt un parādīt, kā preses izdevumos tika izprasta neatkarības ideja dažādos Atmodas posmos, kas varētu palīdzēt izvērtēt šo periodu – tā attīstības problēmas, politisko spēku rīcību un nostāju.
Bakalaura darbs sastāv no ievada, trim nodaļām un diviem pielikumiem.
Pirmajā nodaļā tiek parādītas neatkarības idejas iezīmju parādīšanās Latvijas presē 1988.gadā. Otrajā nodaļā tiek pētīta jēdziena „neatkarīga Latvija” dažādo traktējumu attīstība 1989.gadā. Trešajā nodaļā tiek apskatīta neatkarības idejas attīstība 1990.gadā.
Rakstot bakalaura darbu, pamatā tika izmantoti latviešu valodā iznākošie preses izdevumi no 1988. līdz 1990.gadam. The theme of the Bachelor's Paper is "Coverage of development of the idea of Latvia's independence in major Latvian press publications (1988-1990)". The aim of the Paper is to research and show how newspapers understood the independence idea in different stages of Atmoda, which could help to appraise this period – the problems of its development, as well as the action and position of political forces.
The first chapter deals with the emerging of the features of independence ideas in Latvian newspapers and magazines in 1988. The second chapter studies the development of different interpretations of the term “independent Latvia” in 1989. The third chapter looks at the development of the independence idea in 1990.
Elaboration of the Bachelor's Paper was based on newspapers and magazines in the Latvian language, published from 1988 till 1990.
