Kosmopolītisma koncepts Martas Nusbaumas filosofijā

Abstract

Darbā „Kosmopolītisma koncepts Martas Nusbaumas filosofijā” tiek analizēts Martas Nusbaumas kosmopolītisma koncepts kā sistēma, kas sastāv no trīs galvenajiem elementiem - koncepcijas par pasaules pilsoni kā ētisko ideālu, kuru ikvienam būtu jātiecas sasniegt; liberālās izglītības teoriju par to, kādā veidā būtu iespējams praktiski, ar izglītības palīdzību kultivēt pasaules pilsonību; un mācību par morālo kopienu, kas sastāv gan no normatīvām idejām, gan arī no konkrētiem priekšlikumiem par reformām globālajā sociālajā un tiesiskajā kārtībā. Atklājot un analizējot filosofes kosmopolītisma koncepta aspektu daudzpusīgās šķautnes, tiek iezīmēta šo aspektu sakarība, savstarpēja atkarība un mijiedarbība, kā arī tiek noteikta Nusbaumas vieta mūsdienu diskusijās par kosmopolītismu un atklātas kosmopolītisma koncepta vājās un spēcīgās iezīmes.

The Thesis „The Concept of Cosmopolitanism in the Philosophy of Martha Nussbaum” attempts to provide an insight into the concept of cosmpolitanism expressed by philosopher Nussbaum being the system consisting of 3 elements – the conception of the world citizen as an ethical ideal which can be achieved; the theory of liberal education, which gives practical methods for cultivating humanity and world citzenship, and the concept of „moral community” containing normative ideas and specific proposals for the global political, social and legislative reforms. By analyzing the diverse margins of this concept, an interconnection, coherence and correlation of the different aspects is remarkable. Finally the strong and weak features of the concept are explored.
