Zusammenfassung
Maģistra darbā pētīta vietas atmosfēra ainavā, balstoties vides estētikā aktuālajā diskusijā par zināšanu un emociju lomu estētiskā vērtējumā. Darbā izvirzīta hipotēze, ka, vietas atmosfēra ainavā skaidrojama, no vienas puses, apzinot metaforisko, bet no otras, pievēršoties tuvāk cildenā analīzēm. Vietas atmosfēras metaforiskais aspekts norāda uz kognitīvās un emociju pieejas pārklāšanos. Cildenais aspekts, savukārt, saistīts ar metaforu, bet vienmēr ir arī „kaut kas vairāk”, kas ļauj cildenā izpratnei mainīties. Par to liecina darbā aplūkotā diskusija par mūsdienu cildeno ainavā. Maģistra darbs iedalīts trīs nodaļās, no kurām pirmā skaidro, kas ir vietas atmosfēra ainavā, otrā – kāds ir tās filozofiskais pamatojums, bet trešā ilustrē metaforas un cildenā attiecības piederības pieredzē.

Master’s paper examines the atmosphere of place in landscape, based on current discussion in environmental aesthetics on the role of cognitive and emotive response in aesthetic judgment. The hypothesis states that atmosphere of place in landscape can be explained using metaphor on one hand and explicating the sublime on the other. The metaphorical aspect points to the perfusion of cognitive and emotional approach. The sublime aspect, for its part, is tied with metaphor, however being something „more”, a feature that enables the change in conception of the sublime. This is grounded by discussion on contemporary sublime in landscape. The paper contains 3 parts, the 1st of them explaining the conception of atmosphere of place in landscape, the 2nd – its grounding in philosophy. The last part illustrates the relevance of metaphor and the sublime in experience of belonging in landscape.
