Aplūkot sprēslīcas kā specifisku, līdz šim atsevišķi neanalizētu avotu grupu, pievēršot uzmanību to funkcionāliem un simboliskiem aspektiem, ieskicējot to tipoloģiju. Time when the world was taken over by various technological breakthroughs, the man begins to psychologically tune into spiritual values which have not yet lost.
But despite the need to understand the contribution of the patriarchs in modern culture and life , the society forgets’ that the objects are not only used to create clothing for themselves but also to create a working environment with particular aesthetics, often carrying tools include not only practical, job functions, but also creating a special aesthetic of the work with design, often working tool, or a part thereof is trimming its specific, symbolic - magical function, defensive, work incentive or other spiritual symbols.
The papers’ author deals distaffs as a source for 19th - 20th century beginning the spinning-wheel in relation to yarn carriages, analyze distaffs’ forms of diversity in relation to those contained in the functional and symbolic role, establishing the periodization and the intensive exploitation stage of the proper region. View distaffs’ as the specific before not analyzed group of sources, focusing on the functional and symbolic aspects, outlining their typology.
