Izteikuma „es esmu, es eksistēju” (ego sum, ego existo) izvērsums Dekarta metafizikā

Abstract

Maģistra darbs mērķis ir atklāt izteikuma 'es esmu, es eksistēju' (ego sum, ego existo) lomu Dekarta metafizikā. Pētījuma centrā ir Dekarta darbs Meditācijas. Īpaša uzmanība tiek pievērsta otrās un trešās meditācijas lasījumam. Darba pirmā daļa sniedz ieskatu Dekarta metafizikas raksturojumā. Otrajā daļā ir izvērsta 'es esmu, es eksistēju' analīze, kas parāda Dekarta metodisko ceļu uz sum kā nepieciešami patiesu spriedumu un tā nepieciešamo saistību ar ‘es esmu domājoša lieta’ (res cogitans). Darba trešā daļa piedāvā sum konsekvenču analīzi, uzrādot kā Dekarts, secīgi iepazīstot sevi, nonāk pie atziņas ‘es esmu, tātad Dievs ir’ (sum, ergo Deus est). Tāpat kā no ‘es domāju’ acīmredzami izriet ‘es esmu’, tā no ‘ir Dieva ideja’ izriet ‘Dievs ir’.

The aim of the paper is to uncover the role of the expression “I am, I exist” (ego sum, ego existo) in the metaphysics of Rene Descartes. In the center of the research is the Descartes’ Meditations on First Philosophy with a special regard to second and third meditations. The first part of the paper provides an insight into characteristics of Descartes’ metaphysics. The second part analyzes the expression “I am, I exist” and shows Descartes’ methodological path to the conclusion sum as a necessarily true judgment and its necessary contiguity with “I am a thing that thinks” (res cogitans). The third part provides the analysis of the consequences of sum by showing how Descartes reaches the verity “I am therefore God exists” (sum, ergo Deus est). Similarly as from “I think” follows “I am”, likewise from “there is an idea of God” follows “God exists”.
