M. Tečeres administrācijas iekšējā un ārējā politika: vēttējums mūsdienu Rietumu un krievu historiogrāfijā.

Abstract

Mārgaretas Tečeres valdīšanas gadi iegājuši vēsturē gan ar viņas darbību iekšpolitikā, gan ārpolitikā. Iekšpolitikas reformu mērķi sastāvēja no finansu un ekonomikas sektora reformēšanas, kā arī izmaiņām sociālajā politikā un labklājības valsts modelī. Arī regulārie arodbiedrību streiki bija Tečeres valdības uzmanības lokā. Konservatīvo valdība pievērsa uzmanību arī virknei ārpolitikas jautājumu – attiecībām ar ASV, PSRS, Eiropas integrācijas procesiem un negaidītajam Folklendu karam. Raksturojot Tečeres sociālo politiku, vairumam autoru ir līdzīgs viedoklis – Tečere bija tā, kas apglabāja sapni par plaukstošu labklājības valsti. Tečeres ārpolitikas vērtējums historiogrāfijā nav vienots, jaunākajā Rietumu un krievu historiogrāfijā pastāv vairāki atšķirīgi viedokļi.

The years of Margaret Thatcher’s rule are well known by its policy both in foreign and domestic affairs. The aim of the domestic policy consisted of reforming financial and economic policy of the state, changing the situation in Welfare state and social guarantees. The Trade Union regular strikes and “Winter of Discontent” were in focus of Thatcher’s government, too. Thatcher’s government paid attention also to several foreign affairs – relationships with the USA, the USSR, European integration processes and Falkland War were the most vital issues. Describing Thatcher’s social policy, most of authors have a similar opinion – Thatcher was the one, who buried the dream of prosperous Welfare state. Evaluation in historiography about Thatcher’s foreign policy is not unified and has a lot of opinions.
