Tjudoru laulību un troņa mantošanas politika

Abstract

Tjudoru periods (1485-1603) Anglijas vēsturē zināms kā ievērojamu pārmaiņu laiks. Tas iezīmē pāreju uz jaunajiem laikiem, reformāciju Anglijā un Lielbritānijas teritoriju tuvināšanos. Minēto procesu un Tjudoru valdnieku vidū valda savstarpēja mijiedarbība. Monarhu rīcību iedvesmo laikmeta norises, kā arī viņu lēmumi - jaunas parādības. Maģistra darbā pētīta Tjudoru valdnieku laulību un pēctecības politika, identificējot veikto lēmumu kopsakarības. Dinastijas laikā piedzīvoti vairāki monarhijas jauninājumi – karaļa testaments regulē pēctecību, tronī nonāk tiesiski neleģitīmi mantinieki un pirmo reizi Anglijā valda karaliene. Iepazīstoties ar Parlamenta aktiem, karaļu dokumentiem un ar ārvalstīm slēgtajiem līgumiem, iespējams secināt, pēc kādiem principiem komplicētajos apstākļos Tjudori centušies īstenot savas dinastiskās intereses.

Tudor period (1485-1603) presents major changes in the history of England. It brings transition into the modern age, reformation in England and the gradual unification of Great Britain. Tudor monarhs are subject to all of these processes. Their actions are inspired by the contemporary events and in return the decisions of sovereigns influence new phenomena. This research studies the Tudor marriage and succession politics indetifying the links of their decisions. The monarchy experiences various novelties during the time – succession is fixed in the king’s last will, the throne goes to illegitimate heirs and England has its first ruling queens. The examination of acts of Parliament, royal documents and international treaties helps to determine what principles guided the Tudor dynastic policy within these complex circumstances.
