Zemgales arheoloģiskā pētniecība (19. gs. - 2006.)
Zusammenfassung
Zemgales senvietu arheoloģiska izpēte aizsākās 19. gadsimtā. Līdz Latvijas neatkarības iegūšanai ar arheoloģisko pētniecību galvenokārt nodarbojās vācbaltu profesori, mācītāji un citi aizvēstures entuziasti. Latvijas Republikas laikā arheoloģijas zinātne piedzīvoja strauju attīstību – izrakumi Zemgalē notika daudzos dažādos pieminekļos. Pieauga izrakumu veicēju profesionalitāte. Padomju okupācijas laikā saistībā ar lielo industrializāciju Zemgalē galvenokārt notiek aizsardzības izrakumi. Atjaunotās Latvijas periodā izrakumu intensitāte mazinās. Pēdējos gados notiek mērķtiecīga akmens laikmeta vietu meklēšana un izpēte. The research of archeological sites of Zemgale begins in the 19th century. At first Baltic German profesors, priests and other enthusiasts of prehistory were those who were interested in archeological researches. The period of Republic of Latvia: 1918 to the 1940 the science of archeology took a new face. Not only the number of excavations increased, but also the quality of researchers. In the Soviet period mostly were performed the rescue excavations, because of industralization of Zemgale. In the period of resored Republic of Latvia the intensity of researches decreased. In the last years the main aim of archeologists is to find and research the sites of Stone Age.
