Abstract
Pētījuma „Tautas garīgo tradīciju vietas Valkas un Cēsu rajonā” mērķis ir raksturot šīs
teritorijas latviešu tautas un tās priekšteču garīgo tradīciju vietas, atklājot to
tipoloģiju, raksturu un izvietojuma īpatnības. Darbā noteikti šo vietu identificēšanas
principi, apkopotas vēstures avotos un literatūrā minētās ziņas par 503 objektiem, kā
arī analizēts to izvietojums. Par raksturīgākajām tautas garīgo tradīciju vietām
sniegtas vietējo iedzīvotāju atmiņu ilustrācijas, kas ļauj tuvāk izprast senās tradīcijas
un garīgo priekšstatu sistēmu.
Darbam pievienotas 36 tabulas ar tautas garīgo tradīciju vietu sarakstu un 32 kartes,
kuras sniedz ieskatu par nozīmīgāko objektu izvietojumu Cēsu un Valkas rajonā.
The object of the work "Places of spiritual folk traditions in Valka and Cēsis district" is: 1) to characterize typology and most distinguishing features of arrangement of places of spiritual folk traditions of 19th and 20th century Latvians and their ancestors in above mentioned administrative districts of Northeastern Latvia; 2) to hand out very characterical traditions. In the course if work there are defined principles of localization of places, summarized information about 503 objects as revealed from historical sources and popular literature and given analysis of their arrangement in landscape. Where possible, interviews with local people their information and interpretation on places is given as illustrative material for better understanding of ancient traditions and spiritual world outlook. Work has an supplement with 36 tables with all places listed and 32 maps showing locations of most important objects in Cēsis and Valka district.
