Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir Ernesta Brastiņa sabiedriski politiskā darbība (1920- 1940). Pētniecībā liela uzmanība vienmēr pievērsta Ernesta Brastiņa darbam, bet mazāk personībai un tās nozīmei viņa darbībā. Biogrāfiski apkopojumi ir fragmentāri vai virspusēji. Darba mērķis ir, apkopojot informāciju, ko sniedz avoti un literatūra un skatoties no vēsturiski biogrāfiskā aspekta, veikt Ernesta Brastiņa sabiedriski politiskās darbības hronoloģisku izpēti. Darba uzdevumi: apkopot Latvijas Valsts vēstures arhīvā pieejamos avotus(Politiskās pārvaldes dokumentus, personīgās sarakstes u.c.), kas saistīti ar Brastiņu, viņa personīgo dzīvi un darbu; apzināt un izpētīt Ernesta Brastiņa publicētos rakstus periodikā, izceļot rakstus, kas saistīti ar sabiedriski politisko darbību un uzskatiem; analizēt Brastiņa sabiedriskos un reliģiskos uzskatus; avotos iegūstamo informāciju papildināt ar dažāda veida literatūru, lai iegūtu daudzpusīgāku biogrāfisku aprakstu; iegūto informāciju vērtēt pēc tās nozīmes darba izpildē. Ernesta Brastiņa sabiedriski politisko darbību lielā mērā noteica personiskās ambīcijas un misijas apziņa – vēlēšanās latviskot visu sabiedrības dzīvi, no apģērba līdz politikai.

The title of the Bachelor paper is Socially political life of Ernests Brastiņš (1920- 1940). In researches about Ernests Brastiņš most of the attention has been fixed on his work and less on his personality and its influence on his actions. The biographical summarizations are fragmental and superficial. The aim of the paper is to do a chronological research of Ernests Brastiņš social political actions and it is done by summarizing information that can be found in historical sources and literature. The objectives of Bachelor Paper: to summarize accessible information from Latvian State Archive (documentation of political administration, personal correspondence etc.) that is connected with Ernests Brastiņš and his personal life and work; to study and gather information from the articles that has been published by Ernests Brastiņš, putting emphases on articles talking about his social political actions and his views; to analyze views and ideologies of Brastiņš; to supplement gained information with different literature to get more diverse biographical description; to evaluate gained information in accordance of its importance for accomplishing the given objectives. The social political actions of Ernests Brastiņš were highly influenced by his personal ambitions that established his wish to Latvianize everything in social life, from clothes till policy.
