Arheoloģiskās izpētes devums Valmieras senākās vēstures skaidrošanā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Arheoloģiskās izpētes devums Valmieras pilsētas attīstībā.” Darba mērķis ir izpētīt arheoloģiskās izpētes nozīmi Valmieras pilsētas attīstībā. Darba uzdevumi ir aplūkot Valmieras arheoloģisko izpēti 20.– 21. gs. historiogrāfisko materiālu skatījumā, apskatīt Valmieras arheoloģisko izrakumu atspoguļojumu plašsaziņas līdzekļos un parādīt ekspozīcijas „Teic man, Gauja, Valmieras stāstu” nozīmi Valmieras pilsētas attīstībā. Pēc materiālu apkopošanas jāsecina, ka pēc materiāliem par arheoloģiskajiem izrakumiem var secināt, ka Beverīnas pils nav atradusies Valmierā un, ka Valmiera kā centrs nav attīstījusies 12.– 13.gs., bet gan 14.– 15.gs. Par senās Valmieras dzīvi liecina atradumi no arheoloģiskajiem izrakumiem, bet ekspozīcija tiek izmantota, lai parādītu pilsētas vēsturisko attīstību, rīkotu interaktīvās stundas skolēniem un piesaistītu tūristu uzmanību Valmierai.

The title of the bachelor’s thesis is “Contribution of Archaeological Research in the Development of Valmiera City”. The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to reflect the importance of the archaeological research in Valmiera city development. The objectives of the thesis are to show the archaeological contribution to Valmiera from historiographic perspective of the 20-21 centuries, study the reflection of Valmiera archaeological excavations in mass media and expose the importance of the exhibition “Tell Me, Gauja the Valmiera Story” in the city development. Summarizing the material, it can be concluded that Beverīnas Castle was not located in Valmiera, that Valmiera as a center was not developed in the 12th – 13th century, but 14th – 15th century. From the finds of the archaeological excavations in Valmiera we find out about the way of life in Valmiera ancient town but the exposition shows the historical development of the city and it is used to organise interactive lessons for schools and to attract tourists to the city.
