Cēzara Augusta principāts ir tēma, kura izraisa vēsturnieku interesi jau no antīkiem laikiem. Neskatoties uz plašu šī posma atspoguļojumu vēstures literatūra, apskatāmo problēmu klāsts ir ļoti ierobežots. Bakalaura darbā „Valsts ideoloģija Cēzara Augusta principāta laikā” tiek aplūkota maz pētīta Augusta principāta tēma – ideoloģija. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot Augusta inspirētās propagandas mērķus un līdzekļus, kā arī izprast Augusta īstenotās politikas būtību. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tiek apskatītas Augusta ideoloģijas izpausmes dažādās jomās – oficiālajos tekstos, monētās, laikmeta literatūrā, arhitektūrā un mākslā, kā arī reliģijā. Izmantojot avotu sintēzes metodi, ir izdevies rast jaunu Augusta valdīšanas redzējumu, kas apstrīd historiogrāfijā iesakņojušos vērtējumus un viedokļus. Caesar Augusts principate is a topic that draws the attention of historians since the ancient times. Still, despite the huge amount of literature devoted to the topic, a small number of issues are being studied. The bachelor’s thesis “State ideology in Caesar Augustus’ principate” is dedicated to a barely studied issue in the principate of Caesar Augustus, ideology. The main purpose of this study is to discover the aims and means of propaganda inspired by Augustus, as well as to comprehend the essence of implemented policy. In the course of the study the diverse displays of propaganda are being researched: official texts, coins, literature, architecture and art, as well as religion. Using the method of source synthesis, this study presents a new vision of Caesar Augustus reign, which questions traditional opinions and appraisals.
