Valdnieka varas statuss 16.gs. I pusē Anglijā

Abstract

Šis darbs ir par vienu no zināmākajām un panākumiem bagātākajām dinastijām Anglijas vēsturē – Tjūdoru dinastiju. Šī darba mērķis ir konstatēt valdnieka varas statusu un novērot varas attīstību vai tieši pretēji – varas ierobežošanu, ko būtu panākusi sabiedrība, Henrija VII (1485.-1509.) un Henrija VIII (1509.-1547.) valdīšanas laikā. Līdz mūsdienām ir saglabājušies pieraksti, vēstules, akti, vēsturnieku darbi, kuri aplūko Henrija VII un Henrija VIII valdīšanas periodu, bet nav veikta varas padziļināta izpēte, kas ļautu secināt par tās ietekmi, spējām un robežām. Pētījuma izstrādē tika nonākts pie secinājumiem, ka monarha vara Anglijā 15.gs. beigu un 16.gs. sākumā bija stabila, noturīga un monarhs bija spējīgs savas prerogatīvas izmantot pilnā to apjomā, mainot pat gadsimtiem noturīgu cilvēku redzējumu par pastāvošo pasaules kārtību.

This work is about one of the most known and successful dynasties in England’s history – the Tudor dynasty. The objective of this paper is to ascertain the status of the monarchs’ power during the reigns of Henry VII (1485-1509) and Henry VIII (1509-1547), and observe its development or, on the contrary, its impediment that arises from society. The author’s motives rest on the fact that despite the existence of several notes, letters and acts from that period, as well as historian researches there is not a profound analysis addressing the issue of the monarch’s power status. As a conclusion, the monarch’s power in England in the end of the XV century and beginning of XVI century was persistent and he was able to make use of his prerogatives fully; being the monarch capable of introducing deep and broad changes in the society.
