Izrādes sabiedrības kritika G. Debora darbos

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Izrādes sabiedrības kritika Gija Debora darbos” mērķis ir izprast un izvērtēt Gija Debora (Guy Debord) piedāvāto izrādes sabiedrības koncepciju un šīs sabiedrības kritiku, aplūkojot divus vienlīdz svarīgus tās aspektus: kritisko izrādes teoriju, kas pausta Debora darbos “Izrādes sabiedrība” (La Société du spectacle) un “Komentāri par izrādes sabiedrību” (Commentaires sur la société du spectacle), un situacionistu kritisko praksi, kura ir radikāla vēršanās pret izrādes sabiedrību, Debora teorētisko nostādņu īstenojums praktiskā darbībā. Vienlaikus šis darbs ietver mēģinājumu noskaidrot, vai un kā Debora izvirzītā izrādes teorija ir attiecināma uz mūsdienu patērētāju sabiedrības raksturojumu un izmantojama tās kritikai.

The aim of bachelor thesis "The Criticism of the Society of the Spectacle in the Works of Guy Debord" is to understand and to evaluate Guy Debord's conception and criticism of the society of the spectacle by investigating two equally important aspects – the critical theory of the spectacle, which is described in Debord's "Society of the Spectacle" (La Société du spectacle) and "Comments on the Society of the Spectacle" (Commentaires sur la société du spectacle), and situationists' critical praxis, which is a radical movement against the society of the spectacle, viz. an implementation of Debord's theoretical stance into practical action. Simultaneously the thesis contains an attempt to clarify whether and how Debord's conception of the society of the spectacle relates to the characterization of contemporary consumer society and is useful for its criticism.
