The reign of Queen Victoria in England has often been called the second renesance in England and the longest period of peace in the history of the country. This study looks at the situation of women in victorian society and the stereotypes they faced in society. To achieve these goals the author of the study uses a wide range of books that analyses the history of women through this time while reflecting upon specific views about women in this time period. In the conclusions the author proves that behind the veneer of this peaceful era women expierienced outspoken unequality while dealing with the law and society.
