Cisterciešu ordeņa darbība Austrumbaltijā 13. gadsimta pārmaiņu kontekstā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Cisterciešu ordeņa darbība Austrumbaltijā 13.gadsimta pārmaiņu kontekstā.” Darba mērķis ir apskatīt, izanalizēt un izvērtēt cisterciešu ordeņa darbību un tās rezultātus Austrumbaltijā 13.gadsimta kontekstā. Tēmas problemātika ir tāda, ka parasti cisterciešu darbība Austrumbaltijas reģionā tiek skatīta tikai lokālās dimensijās, neveidojot sasaisti ar ordeņa vadību un darbību pārējā Eiropes teritorijā. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek apskatīta cisterciešu ordeņa attīstība un darbības principi Romas katoļu baznīcas teritorijās 12 un 13.gadsimtā. Otrajā nodaļā tiek aplūkota un analizēta cisterciešu mūku, Teodoriha un Bernharda no Lipes, darbība un rezultāti Austrumbaltijā. Trešā nodaļa ir veltīta Daugavgrīvas cisterciešu klostera darbībai līdz 1305.gadam, kad cisterciešu ordenis pārtrauc savu darbu šajā klosterī.

The theme of diploma work is „The activity of Cistercian Order in Eastern Baltic region in 13th century in context of changes.” The goal of this work is to consider, analyse and estimate the activity of Cistercian Order and results of this activity in Eastern Baltic region in 13th century context. The theme’s problem is that usually the activity of Cistercian Order in Eastern Baltic region is viewed only in local dimensions not considering the relevance with Order’s General Chapter and Order’s activity in other territories of Europe. In first chapter there is viewed Cistercian Order’s development and activities principles in Roman catholic christendom in 12th and 13th century. Second chapter survey and analyses the activity and results in Esatern Baltic of Cistercian monks Theodoric and Bernhard von der Lippe. Third chapter is dedicated to the activity of Dunamunde monastery till the year of 1305, when Cistercian Order cease their activity in this monastery.
