V.Čērčils par Otrā pasaules kara beigu fāzi (1944.g. maijs-1945.g. jūlijs)

Abstract

Šajā darbā tiek veikta Vinstona Čērčila Nobela prēmiju literatūrā ieguvušās grāmatu sērijas „ Otrais pasaules karš ” pēdējās grāmatas „Triumfs un traģēdija” satura analīze, salīdzinot tajā sniegto informāciju ar citu autoru un vēsturnieku veiktajiem pētījumiem par darbā aprakstītajām tēmām. Izmantojot šādu salīdzināšanas metodi, ir iespējams izvērtēt Čērčila sniegto ziņu precizitāti un patiesumu, ļaujot noteikt, vai viņa sarakstītais darbs ir objektīvs un var tikt izmantots dažādos vēsturnieku darbos. Pētījuma rezultātā var konstatēt, ka Čērčils nav sniedzis nepatiesas ziņas, kaut arī ir izvairījies pieminēt aspektus, kas negatīvi varētu atspoguļot Sabiedroto veikto karadarbību un to īstenoto politiku. No tā var secināt, ka Vinstona Čērčila darbs ir izmantojams zinātniskos pētījumos, ja to izmanto kopā ar papildus literatūru.

This research analyses and comperes content of Nobel Prize winning six-volume set „The Second World War’s” last book Triumph and Tragedy by Winston Churchill. This research compares provided information with other author and historian researches of described topics in the book. By using this method it is possible to evaluate how precise and authentic is information given by Churchill what allows to determine if the book is objective and can it be used for other historian researches. As result of research, can be said, that Churchill has not given false information however he has avoided to mention factors which could negatively reflect hostilities and practiced policy by allies. To conclude, Winston Churchill’s book can be used in scientific researches if it is used with other additional sources.
