Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir aplūkot, izpētīt un strukturēt sociālās attiecības anglosakšu sabiedrībā indivīdu, dzimtu un kopienu starpā. Savukārt darba uzdevumi ir, analizējot avotus un literatūru, noskaidrot anglosakšu sabiedrības sociālās attiecības un tās ietekmējošos aspektus:laikmetu, kas veidoja Anglosakšu sabiedrību; anglosakšu sabiedrības sociālās grupas un to paradumus, pienākumus un tiesības; dzimtas attiecību nozīmīgumu sabiedrībā; politisko hierarhiju; sociālo grupu savstarpējās attiecības. Par pētāmajām problēmām bakalaura darbā tiek izvirzītas sabiedrības stratifikācija un politiskās hierarhijas ietekme uz valdījuma teritorijas iedzīvotāju dzīvi kopumā visos anglosakšu sabiedrības līmeņos. Kā ļoti svarīgu aspektu izceļot dzimtas lomu indivīda dzīvē un sabiedriskas nozīmes lēmumu pieņemšanas procesos.

Theme “Social Relations in the Anglo-Saxon society” is very disputable and comprehensive as a subject of society existing in the early Middle Ages. It fascinates in its structure and content that is so wearied and colorful by mixture of barbaric tribal traditions and Roman law interpretations according to the society’s structure formation. The gaol of bachelor paper is to describe Anglo- Saxon social structure and explore the relations inside the Anglo- Saxon society. The situation of social class interactions are examined as well and as a very important aspect, the kinship is explored. It is clear that the de facto situation differed from the situation de iure, but that was influenced by traditions of every region by its mentality and ethnic legacy.
