| dc.description.abstract | Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta mijkultūru mācīšanās, īpaši liekot akcentu uz mijkultūru kompetencēm un iekļaujošo izglītību. Straujā vispasaules daudzkultūru globalizācijas procesa rezultātā, vajadzība pēc mijkultūru kompetenču prasmju apgūšanas ir krasi pieaugusi. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt mijkultūru kompetences, noskaidrot, kuras ir vispiemērotākās metodes, šo prasmju attīstīšanai, kā arī uzzināt, kāds ir skolēnu viedoklis jautājumā par iekļaujošo izglītību. Lai rastu plašāku ieskatu, kāda īsti ir pedagogu attieksme pret mijkultūru jautājumiem, kopā pētījumā tika aptaujāti četrdesmit divi cilvēki, kas izteica savu viedokli un dalījās savā pieredzē. Divas angļu valodas mācību stundas tika vadītas Madonas Valsts ģimnāzijā, kur par iekļaujošās izglītības jautājumiem tika plašāk diskutēts. Tika veikta aptauja ar nosaukumu „Cilvēki ar īpašām vajadzībām mūsu sabiedrībā”. Izpētes rezultāti rāda, ka skolēni ir gatavi pieņemt cilvēkus ar īpašām vajadzībam viņu skolā/ klasē, ka arī viņi ir gatavi palīdzēt, ja tas ir nepieciešams. Izpētes laikā, tika intervēta skolotāja Ilze Stikāne, kura strādā ar bērniem, kuriem ir īpašas vajadzības iekļaujošajā Kalsnavas pamatskolā. Viņa apstiprināja, ka skolēni, kuri mācās kopā ar vienaudžiem, kuriem ir īpašas vajadzības kļūst tolerantāki, iecietīgāki un izpalīdzigāki pret citiem.
Šī bakalaura darba autore izsaka cerību, ka Latvijas sabiedrība kļūs daudz atvērtāka un būs spējīga mainīt pastāvošo attieksmi pret citādo, kā arī reiz patiešām pratīs novērtēt dažādību, kas bagātina pasauli, kurā mēs visi dzīvojam.

| dc.description.abstract | This Bachelor thesis studies intercultural learning and it focuses on intercultural competence and inclusive education in particular. Due to globalised and multicultural world, the necessity to acquire skills of intercultural competences has significantly increased. The goal of the Bachelor thesis is to investigate the intercultural competence and its most effective methods for developing it in ELT as well as to promote students’ tolerance, respect and better understanding of people with special needs and to find out the students’ attitude towards inclusive education. To explore the attitude to intercultural matters in schools of Latvia altogether forty-one students and one teacher took part in the survey by sharing their opinions and experience. Two English lessons were piloted where the issue of inclusive education was discussed in-depth. The questionnaire ‘People with special needs in our society’ was administered. The results of the survey showed that students would ready to accept people with special needs in their school/classroom and to help them if it was needed. The inclusive teacher was interviewed and she affirmed that a student studying together with a peer who has special needs becomes more tolerant and helpful towards others.
The author of the BA thesis hopes that the society of Latvia will become more open for changes in their attitudes and will be able to really appreciate the diversity that enriches the world we all live in.
