Morālās vērtības Džona Golsvertija triloģijā "Forsaitu teika"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā autore analizē 19.gadsimta angļu rakstnieka, reālisma pārstāvja, Džona Golsvertija triloģiju „Forsaitu Teika”, tās autora dzīvi, laikmetu un morālo vērtību kā filozofijas izpētes priekšmetu vēsturi un izcelsmi. Uz morālo vērtību definīcijas bāzes tiek analizēti triloģijas galvenie varoņi un to rīcība, tiek iztirzātas, autoresprāt, interesantas situācijas, kas raksturo un pierāda Golsvertijam piemītošo augsto morālo stāju. Autore pēta arī 19. un 20. gadsimtos Anglijas sabiedrībā valdošās vērtības, ko autors spilgi aprakstījis triloģijā, analizē attiecības Viktorijas laikmeta ģimenēs un to problemātiku. Bakalaura darba autore izvirzījusi pieņēmumu par Golsvertija labvēlīgo attieksmi pret saviem varoņiem un viņam piemītošo nostāju nenosodīt tos, lai arī viņu rīcība ne vienmēr atbilst morālo vērtību definīcijai. Rakstot darbu, autore pētījusi Dž.Golsvertija biogrāfiju, pasaules uztveri, Viktorijas laikmeta angļu sabiedrību, izmantojusi pētnieku un kritiķu atsauces par viņa darbiem un atklājusi personīgās domas par darbu un autora vēstījumu tajā. The Bachelor Paper is devoted to the trilogy The Forsyte Saga by English writer, the representative of realism, John Galsworthy, author’s life and epoch are analyzed, as well as the history and origin of moral values as the research subject of philosophy. On the basis of the definition of moral value the Paper analyzes main characters of the trilogy, their actions and interesting situations which characterize and prove the high morality of John Galsworthy. The present research focuses on the values dominating in the 19th and the 20th century English society, vividly depicted by the author of the trilogy, relationships in Victorian families and their problems. The author of the Bachelor Paper raises the assumption about John Galsworthy’s well-disposed attitude towards his characters and tendency not to condemn them despite the fact that their actions do not always comply with the definition of moral values. The Paper researches John Galsworthy’s biography, his lifestyle, the English society of Victorian epoch, criticism and comments on the trilogy.
