Angļu valodas mācīšana pieaugušajiem lielās grupās

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Angļu valodas mācīšana pieaugušajiem lielās grupās” sniedz ieskatu kā mācīt angļu valodu pieaugušajiem lielās grupās, pielietojot dažādas leksikas mācīšanās spēles un aktivitātes. Darba mērķis ir atklāt leksikas mācīšanas veidus ar spēļu palīdzību, kā tos pielietot klasē, lai jauno vārdu apgūšanu pārvērstu par interesantu procesu. Bakalaura darbā ir sniegts ieskats, kādi ir plusi un mīnusi, mācot lielas klases un kā strādāt ar lielo skolēnu skaitu klasē, kas mūsdienās ir ļoti izplatīts. Darba teorētiskā daļa sastāv no pieejamās literatūras analīzes: kas ir lielas klases, dažādas mācību metodes un paņēmieni, bet praktiskajā daļā darba autore ir atlasījusi spēles un aktivitātes, kas palīdz apgūt jaunos vārdus un pielietojusi tās klasē, ņemot vērā skolēnu svešvalodu zināšanu dažādos līmeņus. Lai noteiktu pielietoto spēļu un aktivitāšu efektivitāti, bakalaura darba autore veica divas aptaujas un analizēja iegūtos rezultātus. Iegūto rezultātu analīze parāda skolēnu interesi, par angļu valodas zināšanu uzlabošanu ar leksikas spēļu un citu aktivitāšu palīdzību.

The Bachelor thesis “Teaching English to Adults in Large Groups” provides an insight into teaching English to adults in large groups using different vocabulary learning games and activities. The goal of the paper is to discover the ways of teaching vocabulary using different games and activities, how to use them in the classroom and how to make learning of the new words an interesting process. The bachelor paper deals with the pros and cons of teaching large classes and with the problem how to cope with the large number of the students in the classroom which is very common nowadays. The theoretical part of the paper consists of the analysis of the available literature, the analyses on what are large classes: different teaching methods and techniques are described. In the empirical part of the paper the author has selected a number of games and activities that help to learn the new words and applied these games and activities in the classroom, taking into account the students’ different proficiency levels of the English language. To determine the effectiveness of the applied games and activities the author conducted two surveys and analysed the obtained results. The results of the research showed the students’ general knowledge of English and their preference in terms of the offered games and activities.
