Mumifikācijas pamatprincipi Japānas budismā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts japāņu askētisma pamatprincipiem Sjugendo tradīcijā. Diplomdarba mērķis ir saprast sjugendo pielietoto psiho-tehniku iemeslus un mērķus. Darba uzdevumi ir izpētīt sjugendo reliģijas idejas, reliģiskās prakses īpatnības un izskaidrot šai reliģijai kādreiz aktuālo pašmumifikācijas fenomenu. Pētījumā izmantotās pētīšanas metode ir struktūranalīze, kas ir dažādu klasisko reliģiju elementu saskatīšana sjugendo sinkrētiskajā veidojumā. Pirmajā daļā ir apkopota informācija par sjugendo vēsturi un idejām un to konstruējošajiem pamatelementiem. Otrajā daļā tiek detalizēti analizēts japāņu mūku pašmumifikācijas fenomens un tā cēloņi, kā arī minēti hagiogrāfiskie sižeti par jamabusi.

The paper is dedicated to the main principles of Japanese asceticism in Shugendo tradition. The purpose is to comprehend the reason and goal of psychotechniques in shugendo. The tasks of the paper are to explore shugendo ideas and religious practice as well as to explain the phenomenon of the self-mummification. In order to analyze different elements of classical Asian religions in shugendo syncretic complex the structural method has been employed in the research. In the first part of the work the information about history and ideas of shugendo is found. In the same part the analysis of shugendo constituting elements is also present. The second part is devoted to the phenomenon of Japanese mummification and its ideological background as well as to the hagiographical narratives about Japanese yamabushi.
