Moderno tehnoloģiju un atbilstošu interneta resursu izmantošanas iespējas tematiskā vārdu krājuma mācīšanā

Abstract

Diplomdarbs ir pētījums par moderno tehnoloģiju un atbilstošu interneta resursu izmantošanas iespējām tematiskā vārdu krājuma mācīšanai vidusskolēniem. Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot, kā modernās tehnoloģijas un atbilstošu interneta resursu izmantošana var veicināt tematiskā vārdu krājuma efektīvu apgūšanu angļu valodas stundās. Pētījums tika veikts, pamatojoties uz ar datoru uzlabotu un uzdevumos balstītu valodas mācīšanas metodiku ar mērķi rosināt skolēnu interesi un pilnveidot vidusskolēnu tematiskā vārdu krājuma apguves paņēmienus. Kā galvenā izpētes metode tika pielietota atsevišķa gadījuma izpēte. Iespējamais skolēnu tematiskā vārdu krājuma zināšanu uzlabojums tika pārbaudīts un vērtēts, veicot pārbaudes darbus pirms un pēc vārdu krājuma mācīšanas tiešsaistes uzdevumu veikšanas. Tika veikta anketēšana, lai noskaidrotu skolēnu viedokli par tematiskā vārdu krājuma apguves iespējām, problēmām un iespējamajiem risinājumiem. Ar nolūku paplašināt skolēnu vārdu krājuma zināšanas par noteikto tēmu, tika izveidota mājas lapa, kurā tika iekļautas un izmēģinātas tiešsaistes aktivitātes tematiskā vārdu krājuma apguvei. Iegūtie rezultāti pierāda, ka tematiskā vārdu krājuma mācīšana, izmantojot modernās tehnoloģijas un atbilstošus interneta resursus veicina skolēnu interesi par mācību procesu, kā arī paplašina skolēnu vārdu krājumu. The study is devoted to the investigation of the opportunities of using technologies and the relevant Internet resources in thematic vocabulary teaching to secondary school students. The purpose of the paper was to explore how technologies and the Internet resources can be used to facilitate vocabulary acquisition in the classroom. This research combines elements of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and Task-based Language Teaching (TBLL) with the expectation that it will promote students’ interest and enhances their vocabulary development. Case study was applied as the main research method and presumable enrichment of learners’ vocabulary knowledge was tested and assessed by the administration of questionnaires and tests before and after the pilot teaching. In order to enrich learners’ vocabulary of the target topic, the website containing online activities for thematic vocabulary teaching was designed and piloted. The obtained results imply that teaching the thematic vocabulary by using the technologies and the relevant Internet resources increases students’ interest in the learning process and enriches and upgrades their vocabulary skills.
