Impresionisms angļu literatūrā un glezniecībā

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Impresionisms angļu literatūrā un glezniecībā” mērķis ir analizēt mākslu 19. gadsimta beigās – 20. gadsimta sākumā, atklājot impresionisma idejas un tehniku angļu literatūrā un franču glezniecībā. Hipotēzē pētnieciskajā darbā autore vēlas pierādīt, ka literatūra kā mākslas sfēra ir cieši saistīta ar citām mākslas sfērām, tādām kā glezniecība. Literatūra nav savstarpēji neatkarīga no citām mākslām, jo lasot par kādu noteiktu vēsturisku notikumu, cilvēka iztēle redz visu laikmetu. Jo vairāk kāds zina gan par kultūras un māksliniecisko vidi, iztēle ir dinamiskāka un optiski spilgtāka. Diplomdarbs sastāv no trīs daļām. Pirmā daļa dod vēsturisko ieskatu par noteikto periodu ietverot tehnisko progresu, impresionisma attīstību mākslā un literatūrā, kā arī filozofiskās teorijas. Otrā daļā tiek aplūkotas tēmas, kuras ir kopīgas literatūras un mākslas darbiem. Darbs ietver dabas aprakstus, pilsētas dzīvi, mākslas pasauli un cilvēka personību. Trešā daļa attēlo impresionisma metodes, ietverot fragmentāro redzējumu, apziņas plūsmu, kā arī ideju par atverto un slegto nobeigumu.

The goal of the Master’s Paper “Impressionism in English Literature and Painting” is to analyse art of the turn of the century and trace the themes and methods of Impressionism in the works by French painters and English writers and poets. The hypothesis is that literature, being artistic sphere is closely connected with such spheres of art as painting. Taken separately, it cannot be perceived properly. The more one knows about the setting, the more dynamic and optically bright the picture is. The work consists of three parts. Part I gives a historical overview the period including technical progress, the development of Impressionism in art and in literature and philosophical theories. Part II deals with the discussion of the themes, common for the works of literature and painting. The themes deal with nature descriptions, city life, artistic world and the description of a personality. Part III represents the methods of Impressionism, including fragmentary vision, stream of consciousness and the idea of open and closed ending.
