The purpose of the Bachelor paper is to define the characteristic features – hypocrisy and snobbery in Jane Austen’s novels. The central concept involves the analysis of peculiarities of British social classes: gentry, middle class and their different conduct, morals and manners. It was verified that expression of these certain traits are observed exceedingly often. Moreover- it is a part of human nature.
