Bērnu literatūras tulkošanas īpatnības

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Bērnu literatūras tulkošanas īpatnības”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt īpatnības, ar kurām tulkotāja saskārās Džefa Kinnija ‘Grega dienasgrāmata: Nu gan neveicas’ tulkošanas procesā. Bakalaura darbā izmantota būtiskāko, ar pētījumu saistīto, teorētisko avotu analīze un kontrstīvā analīze starp avota un mērķa tekstu. Bakalaura darba teorētiskā daļa aplūko bērnu literatūru un tās tulkošanas jēdzienu. Empīriskā daļa aptvēra dažādas „Grega dienasgrāmata: Nu gan neveicas” tulkošanas īpatnības. Pētījuma procesā tika atklāts, ka bērnu literatūras tulkošana ir radošs process, kas pieprasa zināšanas par šīm īpatnībām ar kurām var saskarties tulkošanas procesā. Šīs bērnu literatūras tulkošanas īpatnības ir saistītas ar kultūras konteksta pielāgošanu un atsevišķu leksikas vienību transformāciju. Rezultātā tika atklāts, ka lielākā daļa no īpatnībām ar kurām saskārās „Grega dienasgrāmata: Nu gan neveicas” tulkošanas procesā ir saistītas ar kultūras konteksta pielāgošanu.

The theme of the Bachelor Thesis is “Peculiarities of Translating Children’s Literature”. The aim of the research is to analyse different peculiarities that the translator encountered during the translation process of the book ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck’ written by Jeff Kinney. The research methods used in the present paper are theoretical analysis of relevant resources related to the research theme and contrastive analysis of the source text and target text. The theoretical part of the research describes the concept of children’s literature and its translation. The empirical part of the research covered different translation peculiarities noted from “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck.” During the research process it was discovered that the translation of children’s literature is a creative task that requires knowledge of different peculiarities that were encountered during the translation process.
