| dc.description.abstract | Bakalaura darba „Medikamentu lietošanas instrukciju tulkošana” autore ir Latvijas Universitātes Moderno valodu fakultātes 5.kursa studente.
Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 50 lpp., astoņām diagrammām un aptaujas, ko aizpildījuši 50 personas. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir pierādīt, ka medikamentu lietošanas instrukciju tulkojumi var ietekmēt cilvēku veselību.
Darbs sastāv no ievada, iztirzājuma, kurā iekļautas piecas nodaļas un nobeiguma. Darba beigās autors sniedz dažas tēzes.
Pirmā darba nodaļa „Tulkošanas definīcija” koncentrējas uz terminu „tulkošana”. Darba autore sniedz vairākas termina definīcijas un analizē to no dažādiem skatu punktiem. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek arī tuvāk apskatīta to cilvēku profesija, kas veic tulkošanu – tulki un tulkotāji. Darba autore ne tikai apskata šo cilvēku darbu, bet arī spriež par īpašībām un zināšanām, kuras tulkiem un tulkotājiem jāiegūst un jāapgūst.
Otrajā nodaļā „Tulkošanas metodes” darba autore tuvāk apskata tieši tās tulkošanas metodes, kuras viņai šķiet vissvarīgākās, kā arī sniedz izsmeļošākus skaidrojumus un sniedz piemērus katrai tulkošanas metodei. Darba autore koncentrējas uz tieši tām tulkošanas metodēm, kas ir visnozīmīgākās un vislietderīgākās medikamentu lietošanas instrukciju tulkošanā.
Trešajā nodaļā „Dažādi tekstu veidi” tiek sīkāk apskatīti dažādi tekstu veidi. Vispirms darba autore noskaidro, uz kuru no tekstu veidiem attiecas medikamentu lietošanas instrukcijas. Pēc tam viņa cenšas savienot attiecīgo testa veidu ar tai atbilstošu tulkošanas metodi un visbeidzot vēlreiz uzsver tulkam nepieciešamās zināšanas un īpašības, kas palīdz izveidot kvalitatīvu tulkojumu.
Nākošā nodaļa „Medikamentu lietošanas instrukciju tulkošanas grūtības” koncentrējas uz grūtībām, ar kurām darba autore saskārusies, rakstot šo darbu, kā arī tām problēmām, ar kurām viņa saskārusies savā iepriekšējā tulkošanas pieredzē. Darba autore ne tikai iepazīstina lasītāju ar grūtībām, bet arī sniedz savus priekšlikumus, kas balstīti uz darba autores pieredzi ar medicīniskiem tekstiem, tulkošanas procesa uzlabošanai.
Pēdējā nodaļa „Praktiskā daļa” sastāv no medicīniska satura teksta angļu valodā, kuru darba autore cenšas iztulkot latviešu valodā, pielietojot iepriekšējā nodaļā minētos problēmu risinājumus. Tulkojums tiek sniegts, lai pierādītu, ka minētie problēmu risinājumi tiešām ir reāli izmantojami praksē.
Visbeidzot, darba beigās ir sniegtas tēzes. Darba beigās darba autore izsaka savu viedokli par tulkošanas procesu, grūtībām, kas saistītas ar medic1iniska satura tekstu tulkošanu, kā arī priekšlikumiem tulkošanas procesā uzlabošanai. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The author of the Bachelor paper „Translating Medicine Usage Instructions” is 5th year student in Latvia University, Faculty of Modern languages.
The Bachelor paper consists of 50 pages, eight charts and a questionnaire filled in by 50 respondents. The aim of the paper is to prove that medicine usage instructions translations can affect people health.
The paper consists of an introduction, body including five chapters and a conclusion. At the end of the paper the author is providing several theses.
The first chapter of the paper „Defining Translation” focuses on the term „translation”. The author of the paper is providing several definitions of the term „translation” and analysing it from different aspects. In the first chapter there is also investigated the profession of people doing the translation – translators and interpreters. The author of the paper looks not only at the job these people are doing but also judging about the qualities that these people should have and knowledge they should acquire.
In the second chapter „Translating approaches” the author of the paper has chosen the approaches that seem the most important for her and she is giving a deeper explanation of every approach illustrating them with the examples. The author of the paper is focusing particularly on the translating approaches useful for translating medicine usage instructions.
The third chapter „Different text types” is devoted to the review of different text types. First of all, the author of the paper is investigating to which text type medicine usage instructions should be added. Further on she links the text type to the translation approaches related to this type and finally looking back at the qualities that translators should have in order to provide a qualitative translation.
The following chapter „Difficulties in translating medicine terminology” is focused on problems that the author of the paper has faced when writing this paper as well as problems based on her experience. The author of the paper is not only giving the problematic issues in this chapter but also suggesting her proposals for improving the translation process. The suggestions are also based on her translation experience with medical texts.
The last chapter „Practical Part” consists of a medical text in English which the author of the paper is translating into Latvian language applying the solutions for the problems. The translation is given in order to prove that the solution given by the author do actually work in practice.
Finally, theses are given. At the very end of the paper the author has expressed her opinion about the translation process, the difficulties related to translating medical texts as well as solutions for improving the translation process. | en_US |
