This bachelor work “The Motif Machine-man in the Film “Metropolis” by Fritz Lang” is devoted to researching a motive machine-man in the film “Metropolis” of Fritz Lang. Work represents the prime origin of the concept of artificial man and its course of development. It has been used Helmut Svobodas description of a three the most important classification of motive origins. In practical part of terminal work I have analysed the role of artificial man and its functions in the film “Metropolis”. The study includes the research of contemporary science inventions in robotics. At the end of bachelor work has been made a conclusion how far Fritz Langs future vision regarding to robots has nowadays materialized.
Terminal work gives overview of a directors interesting life, which is tightly connected to artistic creation and has fundamentally influenced birth of idea to shoot science-fiction film.
