Maikla Ondātšī romāna „Angļu pacients” postkoloniālā analīze

Abstract

Šī Bakalaura darba galvenais mērķis ir izanalizēt postkolonialitātes stāstījuma metodes un tēmas, kā arī apsriest postkolonialitātes attēlojumu (piem., laika un telpas, varoņu un tēlu stāstījumā) Maikla Ondātšī romānā „Angļu pacients”. Bakalaura darbā uzmanība tika vērsta uz vēstures un idenitātes, vēstures un atmiņas, kara un varas izpēti, kā arī tika īstenots postkoliniālo jēdzienu un nozīmju, un postkoloniālo literatūras teoriju un postkoloniālo lietaratūru pētījums, kā arī romāna „Angļu pacients” analīze. The main purpose of the Bachelor Thesis is to analyse the narrative techniques and themes, and to argue about representations of postcoloniality (e.g., in narrative time and space, characters and images) in Michael Ondaatje’s novel The English Patient. The Bachelor Thesis focuses on the discussion of the history and identity, history and memory, war and agency, the overview of the concepts and meanings of postcoloniality, postcolonial literary theories and postcolonial literatures, as well as the analysis of the novel The English Patient.
