Angļu valodas runas prasmju attīstīšana bērnudārzā

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā izpētīti veidi, kā attīstīt angļu valodas runas prasmes bērnudārzā. Teorētiskajā daļā tiek aplūkotas angļu valodas mācīšanas īpatnības jaunākā vecuma grupā, apkopota literatūrā aprakstītā informācija par to, kā 4 līdz 7 gadus veci bērni apgūst svešvalodu. Īpaša uzmanība pievērsta runāšanai kā vienai no galvenajām prasmēm, kas var tikt attīstītas, mācot svešvalodu pirmsskolā. Teorētiskās atziņas saistītas ar praksi, kas izklāstītas mācīšanas pieredzes aprakstā. Novērojumi liecina, ka bērnudārza audzēkņu runas prasmes var attīstīt, ja tiek izmantotas atbilstošas metodes, ņemot vērā vecuma īpatnības. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir pierādīt, ka angļu valodas mācīšana bērnudārzā ir svarīga un bērna attīstībai noderīga, taču tai ir būtiskas atšķirības no angļu valodas apguves skolā. Rezultātus un secinājumus var izmantot angļu valodas nodarbībās bērnudārzos, lai padarītu efektīvāku mācīšanas/mācīšanās procesu, kā arī pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu mācīšanas metodikas izstrādē, kas Latvijā līdz šim nav pieejama.

The present BA thesis investigates the ways of developing English speaking skills in kindergarten. The theoretical part focuses on the peculiarities of teaching English to very young learners and deals with the description of 4 to 7 years old children as language learners. Speaking is highlighted as one of the main skills that can be developed at a preschool level. It relates theory to practice by describing the pilot study and analysing the actual teaching process. The observations indicate that the development of young learners’ speaking skills can be fostered if appropriate methods are applied and the peculiarities of the particular age groups are taken into consideration. The research paper aims at proving the importance and usefulness of teaching English to very young learners emphasizing the differences of teaching English to very young learners and children of school age. The results and conclusions of this research can be used in the English language classroom in order to make the teaching/learning process more effective, and it can also serve as a background for the development of teaching methodology for pre-schoolers that is not available in Latvia yet.
