Tulkotāju sadarbība ar nozares speciālistiem

Abstract

Šajā darbā ir apskatīts jautājums par sadarbību starp tulkotājiem un nozares speciālistiem. Lai arī privātajā sektorā sadarbība ar nozares speciālistiem ir šķietami neesoša, darba autore uzskata, ka tas ir aktuāls jautājums, jo institucionālās tulkošanas vidē tā ir neatņemama tulkošanas procesa sastāvdaļa un nemitīgi tiek meklēti aizvien jauni veidi labākai un ciešākai sadarbībai starp abām pusēm. Darba autores izvirzītais mērķis bija ar empīriskiem pierādījumiem pamatot to, ka sadarbībai ar nozares speciālistiem ir jābūt neatņemamai tulkošanas procesa sastāvdaļai. Darba izstrādes laikā autore, veicot VVC gadījuma izpēti, pārliecinājās, ka nozares speciālistu ieguldījums ir ļoti svarīgs daudzējādā ziņā. Visbeidzot, aptaujājot tulkotājus, autore konstatēja, ka lielākā daļa tulkotāju sadarbību ar nozares speciālistiem vērtē kā vajadzīgu.

The topic of this master’s thesis is cooperation between translators and field experts. Although cooperation with field experts seems to be obsolete in the private sector, the author considers this question very topical, since it has become an essential part of the translation process in institutional translation and is constantly being improved. The aim of the author was to justify that cooperation between translators and field experts must be a fundamental part of the translation process. The practical part was dedicated to the case study of the State Language Centre, and it proved that input given by field experts is very important in many ways. The last part of the thesis was dedicated to a translators’ survey and the results thereof proved that the majority of translators regard cooperation with field experts as necessary.
