Projektu darbs angļu valodas individuālās mācīšanās procesā

Abstract

Diploma darbs „Projektu darbs angļu valodas individuālās mācīšanās procesā” ir veltīts projektu darba efektivitātes izpētei ar studenti N. trīs mēnešu laikā. Lai apstiptinātu izvirzīto hipotēzi: „Projektu darbs individuālajā apmācībā ir efektīvs līdzeklis studenta valodu komunikatīvās iemaņas attīstībā” un lai sasniegtu darba mērķi: „Izpētīt, izmēģināt un novērtēt studenta valodas komunikatīvās iemaņas pilnveidi trīs mēnešu kursa laikā” tika izmantota gadījuma pētījuma metode. Autore izmantoja šo metodi tāpēc, ka viņa kā skolotāja varēja piedalīties pētījumā, pētījuma jautājums ir konkrēts (valodas komunikatīvās funkcijas analīze lugā „Midconcert’s Trick”, ko studente N. pati radīja), pētījumu var veikt īsā laika periodā (kursa ilgums ir trīs mēneši), pētījums ir veikts pamatojoties uz rakstiskiem materiāliem (studentes sacerējums, pieraksti stundas laikā, mājas darbi, luga). Kursa sākumā autore izvērtēja studentes akadēmisko (lingvistisko), sociālo un psiholoģisko (daudzveidīgās spējas tabula) profilu un izvēlējās projektu darba pieeju šai studentei. Kā gala rezultāts tika radīta luga „Midconcert’s Trick”, kas pierādīja, ka studentes komunikatīvā kompetence angļu valodā ir pilnveidojusies. Tādejādi tika apstiprināta izvirzītā hipotēze un tika sasniegts darba mērķis.

The Diploma paper “Project Work in One-to-One Teaching in English Language” deals with exploring the project work with the student N. during three months. To justify the hypothesis: Project work in one-to-one tuition is an effective means of a student’s language communicative skills development and to reach the aim of the research: to explore, to pilot and to evaluate the most effective activities for language communicative skills development of the student N. within a three-month private tutorial course the author used the case study method. The author used it due to the following reasons: the teacher is a participant of the study and the research, the focus of the research is rather narrow (communicative language functions analysis in the play “Midconcert’s Trick”, created by the student N.), which enables to concentrate on it to the full, the research is based on a short-term experience (three-month one-to-one tutorial course) and is based on the real data (the essay, notes during the lessons, home assignments, the play written by the student N.). Having stated the learner’s objectives, analyzed her academic, social and psychological (Multiple Intelligence profile) background at the beginning of the course the author has chosen project work approach to this particular learner. The result was the play “Midconcert’s Trick” created by the student N., thus proving that the communicative skills of the student have developed. So the hypothesis was justified and the aim was reached.
