Smilts un grants slāņkopas uzbūve un sastāvs Mundigciema atradnē

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Smilts un grants slāņkopas uzbūve un sastāvs Mundigciema atradnē” ir pētīti reljefa formveidojošie nogulumi un to saguluma apstākļi. Pētījums ietver pārsedzošos pēdējā apledojuma glacigēnos nogulumus un zem tā paguļošos, deformētos glaciofluviālos nogulumus. Pētījuma izstrādes gaitā tika veikti urbumi, noņemti paraugi, kas nogādāti laboratorijā granulometrisko analīžu iegūšanai. Detalizētāk veikta smilts – grants materiāla izpēte, īpaši - analizēts grants graudu petrogrāfiskais sastāvs, nodalot magmatiskos un metamorfos iežus vienā grupā, kaļķakmeņus otrā grupā, bet trešo sastāda dolomītu ieži. Pēc apkopotajiem rezultātiem izdarīti secinājumi par nogulumu ģenēzi, vēlāko glaciotektonisko deformāciju iespaidu uz slāņu sagulumu, kā arī formveidojošo slāņkopu sastāva īpatnībām un smilts – grants materiāla cilmes vietu. Darbs sastāv no 4 nodaļām, kuras sadalītas 6 apakšnodaļās, pievienoti 10 grafiskie attēli(shēmas, fotogrāfijas u.c) un 2 tabulas.

The Bachelor's thesis "Structure and composition of sand and gravel stratum in Mundigciems deposit" looks on relief building sediments and their layering in the area of Mundigciems deposit. The work analyzes overlying glacial sediments of the last ice-age found on the site as well as the underlying, deformed glaciofluvial sediments. The research process included drilling and sampling, as well as granulometric analysis of rocks, with the focus on sand and gravel. The gravel rocks underwent petrographic examination and finally were separated between igneous and metamorphic rocks, limestones, and dolomites. The analysis of results allowed to conclude on sediment genesis, the effect of later glaciotectonic deformations on their layering, as well as the specifics of the relief building stratum's composition and the parentage sites of the sand-gravel material. The thesis consists of four sections that are separated in six subsections and it contains ten figures and two tables.
