Cilvēka un dabas attiecības Marka Tvena romānos „Haklberija Fina piedzīvojumi” un „Toma Sojera piedzīvojumi”

Abstract

Darba autors pētīja tēmu ‘Cilvēka un dabas attiecības Marka Tvena romānos „Haklberija Fina piedzīvojumi” un „Toma Sojera piedzīvojumi”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir pētīt dabas lomu Marka Tvena romānos un sniegt lasītājam atbilstošus ekokritikas piemērus, dabas aprakstu piemērus no Marka Tvena romāniem „Haklberija Fina piedzīvojumi” un „Toma Sojera piedzīvojumi”. Otrs mērķis ir izskaidrot simbolu nozīmi Marka Tvena romānos. Autors savā darbā iekļāvis informāciju par ekokritiku un vispārīgu informāciju par simboliem. Praktiskajā daļā ir ekokritikas piemēri, dabas aprakstu piemēri, kuri atrodami „Haklberija Fina piedzīvojumos” un „Toma Sojera piedzīvojumos” un to analīze, kā arī simbolu, ticējumu un māņticības piemēri, kuri tika analizēti. Autors secina, ka Marks Tvens savos romānos „Haklberija Fina piedzīvojumi” un „Toma Sojera piedzīvojumi” attēloja cilvēka un dabas harmoniju. Kas attiecas uz ekokritiku, Marks Tvens nevar tikt uzskatīts par labāko ekokritikas piemēru.

The author of the paper researched the theme ‘Relations between Human and Nature in Mark Twain’s novels ‘Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’ and ‘Adventures of Tom Sawyer’. The goal of Bachelor thesis is to analyze the role of nature in Mark Twain’s novels and to give a proper analysis of the examples of ecocriticism, examples on descriptions of nature in the novels of Mark Twain ‘Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ and ‘Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’. Another aim was to explain what symbols are, and what role they play in Mark Twain’s novels. The author of the paper gives the theory of ecocriticism and general information of symbol as such. In the practical part there are examples of ecocriticism, descriptions of nature in ‘Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ and ‘Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’, and examples of symbols, beliefs and superstitions, which were analyzed. The author concludes that Mark Twain in his novels ‘Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ and ‘Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’ described humans and nature harmony. As regards ecocriticism, Mark Twain cannot be considered as the best example of ecocriticism.
