Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Telefonnoveles – fenomens japāņu sabiedrībā” analizē telefonnoveļu fenomenu Japānā. Telefonnoveles ir salīdzinoši jauns, joprojām aktuāls fenomens Japānā. Dažādu mediju un kritiķu uzmanība nerimst un joprojām tiek risināti dažādi strīdīgi jautājumi, saistībā ar telefonnovelēm, literatūru un sabiedrību. Par spīti negatīvajai kritikai un sabiedrības vecāko paaudžu nosodījumam, telefonnoveļu popularitāte Japānā ir nenoliedzama. Telefonnoveles ir prozas darbi, kas tiek rakstīti un lasīti mobilajos telefonos; tās ir pieejamas speciāli veidotās mājas lapās, un tiek pasniegtas lasītājiem pa nodaļām. Tās visspilgtāk raksturo vienkāršā sarunvaloda, rakstības modifikācijas, skarbās tēmas un autobiogrāfiskums. Darba galvenais mērķis ir izpētīt un iepazīstināt ar telefonnoveļu fenomenu Japānā, kā arī atklāt iespējas, ko tās sniedz. Telefonnoveles spēj apvienot šo moderno tehnoloģiju izaugsmi ar tradicionālo literatūras formu. Telefonnoveles ir arī lielisks veids, kā jauniešiem izpaust sevi, izkratīt sirdi un rast mierinājumu rakstot dienasgrāmatu, autobiogrāfiju vai fantāziju par dzīvi, kādu vēlētos dzīvot. Darbs ir sadalīts trijās daļās, katrai daļai ir divas nodaļas, kas sadalītas sīkāk 2-4 apakšnodaļās. Darba pirmajā daļā tiek apskatīta mobilo telefonu lietošanas kultūra Japānā, kā telefonnoveļu rašanās avots; otrajā daļā tiek pētīts telefonnoveļu attīstības ceļš, to rašanās, popularitātes straujā izaugsme, kā arī raksturotas telefonnoveļu raksturīgākās īpašības un pazīmes; trešajā daļā tiek analizēti jautājumi, kas saistīti ar literatūru un sabiedrību, ņemot vērā dažādu kritiķu viedokļus. Darba nobeigumā tiek apkopoti galvenie secinājumi.

The bachelor thesis “Mobile phone novels – a phenomenon of Japanese society” analyses the phenomenon of mobile phone novels in Japan. These novels are a relatively new phenomenon, therefore, still topical in Japan. It still holds the attention of different media and critics, and the debatable questions about mobile phone novels, literature and society doesn’t cease. Despite all the negative criticism and condemnation of older generations of society, their popularity in Japan is undeniable. Mobile phone novels are works that are written and read on mobile phones, available at specially created web pages, and presented chapter by chapter. The most noticeable characteristics of mobile phone novels are vast use of simple colloquial speech, writing modifications, harsh themes and autobiographical nature. Main purpose of this paper is to research and introduce the phenomenon of mobile phone novels, as well as to reveal the possibilities they provide. This paper examines mobile phone novels as the phenomenon of society, because they have a deep connection with modern Japanese culture and has an impact on society, as well as on literature. Mobile phone novels has turned millions of teenagers and young people to reading books, which is a positive aspect in this digital age, when children and youth rarely read books, instead choosing television and computer games. Mobile phone novels are able to combine the growth of modern technologies with traditional literary forms. This is also a great way for young people to express themselves, to pour out one’s heart and find comfort in writing a diary, autobiography or fantasy about the life one would like to live. While writing these mobile phone novels, many people have found writers in themselves, who aren’t satisfied only with mobile phone novels, and in the future could provide excellent works, recognized by readers and critics. The work is divided into three parts; each part has two chapters and 2-4 sections in detail. The first section introduces Japanese mobile phone culture, as it is the origin of mobile phone novels; the second section researches the emergence and rapid popularity of mobile phone novels, and describes their features and characteristics; the third section focuses on the issues of mobile phone novels and literature, considering various critics’ opinions and the impact of society. Conclusion summarizes main theses.
