Abstract

Maģistra darbs „Ārpusvalodas un ārpusrunas elementu mutiskā tulkošana: pragmatiskā pieeja” ir izstrādāts profesionālās maģistra studiju programmas „Konferenču tulkošana” ietvaros. Darba tēma izvēlēta atbilstoši programmas teorētiskā un praktiskā aspekta aktualitātei, t.i., tiecoties aplūkot profesijai aktuālu tēmu, kas nav plaši iztirzāta profesijas akadēmiskajā jomā. Maģistra darba mērķis ir noteikt un analizēt mutisko tulkošanu ietekmējošus faktorus, ciktāl tie attiecas uz ārpusvalodas un ārpusrunas elementu tulkošanu, un aplūkot konkrētus elementus un to, kā tie ietekmē tulka sniegumu. Darbā izmantotās pētniecības metodes ietver teorētisko materiālu analīzi, aptaujas un interviju veikšanu, to rezultātu analīzi, teorijai atbilstošu un to pamatojošu piemēru sniegšanu. Maģistra darbā ir 4 nodaļas un iekļauti 4 attēli un 3 pielikumi.

The master thesis “Interpreting of Extralinguistic and Out-of-speech Elements: Pragmatic Approach” has been prepared within the framework of the professional master studies programme “Conference interpreting”. The theme of the thesis has been chosen in line with the topicality of the theoretical and practical aspect of the programme, i.e. striving to consider a current topic in the profession, which has not been widely discussed in the academic forum. The aim of the thesis is to identify and analyse factors affecting interpreting, insofar as they refer to interpreting of extralinguistic and out-of-speech elements, and to consider specific elements and how they affect the interpreter’s performance. The methods used to develop the thesis include analysis of theoretical background, conducting a survey and interviews, exemplification relevant to the theory and justifying it. The thesis consists of 4 chapters and contains 4 figures and 3 appendices.
