Dialogs ar Gēti: Gētes recepcija Tomasa Manna daiļradē

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir "Dialogs ar Gēti. Gētes recepcija Tomasa Manna daiļradē". Mans pētījums balstās uz Tomasa Manna esejām, kuras viņš ir veltījis Gētem, un romānu „Lota Veimārā”. Mana darba mērķis ir skaidri atklāt Tomasa Manna mūža interesi par Gēti. Šīs milzīgās tēmas ietvaros mana interese tika īpaši veltīta tādām jautājuma nostādnēm, kā: -- Tomasa Manna esejas par Gēti kā viņa daiļrades neatņemama sastāvdaļa; -- Mūsdienīgums un nākamība kā mītu rašanās priekšnosacījumi – Tomasa Manna esejās par Gēti un romānā „Lota Veimārā”; -- Gēte kā identifikācijas figūra Tomasa Manna daiļradē. Sava pētījuma gaitā es nonācu pie secinājuma, ka Gētes personība Tomasam Mannam ir bijusi mītisks tēls un paraugs, kas apvieno Ģēnija un saprāta, dabas un gara, nacionālā un pārnacionālā veiksmīgo līdzsvarotību. Tomasa Manna apcerēs par Gēti viņš nonāk pie autobiogrāfiska darba uzmetumiem. No tā attīstās autobiogrāfiskā šifrējuma produktīvais spēks estētiskajā tekstā. Paša personas apzināta salīdzināšana ar garīgo tēvu – Gēti - romānā „Lota Veimārā” un esejās par Gēti atklāj ne tikai dzīves ceļu paralēles un dzīves un daiļrades vienotību ka paraugam, tā arī Tomasam Mannam. Pat parauga kritika attiecas uz vienu vienīgu paša orientēšanās izšķirošo fāzi. Esejas par Gēti un romāns „Lota Veimārā” ir izcila Gētes izpēte, kura būtu jāizprot kā Tomasa Manna pašatspoguļojums. Tomass Manns Gētes realizētais mīts, kurš, neskatoties uz pārāk cilvēcisku vājību atspoguļojumu romānā „Lota Veimārā" – vai varbūt tieši tādēļ – ir pacēlies parauga augstumos, kļuvis par īstu klasiķi tādā nozīmē, ka tas ir darbojies, dzīvojis tālāk kā mīts, un noteicis sekotāju rīcību. Tomass Manns, neskatoties uz savu Gētes kritizēšanu, nenoliedzami ir pieskaitāms pie dižajiem mūsu laika Gētes mantiniekiem.

The subject of the present Bachelor Paper is "Dialogue with Goethe. Goethe’s reception in Thomas Mann’s art”. My research is based upon Thomas Mann’s essays devoted to Goethe, as well as upon the novel "Lotte in Weimar". The objective of my work is to reflect Thomas Mann’s life-long interest in Goethe. Within the framework of this huge theme my special interest has been dedicated to such issues as: •The essays on Goethe by Thomas Mann as an integral part of his creative work; •Modernity and future, as the prerequisite of creation of myths in essays on Goethe by Thomas Mann and in the novel "Lotte in Weimar"; •Goethe as an identifying character in Thomas Mann’s creative work. In the course of my research I have come to the conclusions that the personality of Goethe for Thomas Mann was a mythological figure and model combining a successful balance of the Genius and reason, nature and spirit, national and supranational. In his thoughts about Goethe he faced a sketch of an autobiographical writing. It results in a productive force of concealing of autobiographical aspects in the aesthetical text. A conscious comparison of own person with his spiritual parent Goethe in the novel "Lotte in Weimar" and in essays on Goethe discloses no only the parallels of the voyages and the unity of life and art both of the archetype and Thomas Mann. Even the criticism of the archetype refers to a crucial phase of own orientation. The essays on Goethe and the novel "Lotte in Weimar" is an outstanding study of Goethe, which should be understood as a self-reflection of Thomas Mann. Thomas Mann The realized myth of Goethe, which, despite the reflection of too human weaknesses in the novel "Lotte in Weimar" -- or just due to this fact – have risen to a model highness, became a real classics in the sense that it acted, lived on as a myth and determined the actions of the followers. Thomas Mann, despite his criticism of Goethe, certainly belongs to great Goethe’s inheritors of our time.
