Tīmekļa grāmatu recenziju žanra analīze rakstītprasmes attīstīšanai

Abstract

Interneta nozīme jauniešu dzīvē aizvien pieaug, un šajā kontekstā darbā pētīts atsevišķs tiešsaistes rakstīšanas žanrs – tīmekļa grāmatu recenzijas (TGR). Darba mērķis bija izpētīt TGR valodnieciskās iezīmes lai izvērtētu to noderību angļu valodas rakstītprasmes mācīšanā. Izmantotā metode ir žanra analīze, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot komunikatīvo valodas kompetenču elementiem – reģistra izvēlei, autora nostājai, diskursa uzbūvei. Rezultāti parāda, ka tīmekļa grāmatu recenzijās bagāti lietoti lasīšanas pieredzi raksturojoši īpašības vārdi, to autori ņem vērā citu recenzentu rakstīto, savukārt diskursa uzbūvē parādās akadēmisko grāmatu recenziju un stāstījuma žanra iezīmju sajaukums. Secināts, ka pedagoģiskā TGR vērtība izpaustos, ļaujot studentiem no tām izsecināt kultūras atšķirības dažādās tīmekļa vidēs, reģistra atšķirības no akadēmiskā rakstīšanas stila, kā arī paplašinot vārdu krājumu uzdevumos, kuros jāatspoguļo savu lasīšanas pieredzi.

In the context of growing importance of the Internet in the lives of young people, this study explores a particular genre of online writing - online book reviews (OBRs). The purpose was to investigate their linguistic features in order to assess their utility for teaching EFL writing. The method employed was genre analysis with particular attention to the elements of communicative language competence – the choice of register, stance, discourse organisation. The results show that OBRs have abundant use of adjectives describing reading experience and awareness of other reviews, while discourse organisation is a mixture of academic book review and narrative features. It was concluded that the main value of OBRs in teaching could be in exposing learners to these texts. It would sensitise them to cultural differences of writing for the Internet, register differences from academic style, and expand their vocabulary for tasks that involve reflecting on their reading.
