IATE terminoloģijas projekts ostu terminu jomā

Abstract

Maģistra darbs „IATE terminoloģijas projekts ostu terminu jomā” atspoguļo autores praktisko pieredzi IATE terminoloģijas projektā. Maģistra darba mērķis ir aprakstīt teorētiskās nostādnes un principus terminoloģijas izstrādes jomā, kā arī iztirzāt IATE terminoloģijas projektā gūto praktisko pieredzi un atziņas. Maģistra darbu veido četras daļas. Pirmajā daļā ir aplūkots ES daudzvalodības jautājums, IATE daudzvalodu datubāzes izveide un mērķi un ostu jomas nozīme ES kontekstā. Darba otrajā daļā ir aplūkotas galvenās teorētiskās nostādnes terminoloģijas izstrādes jomā un galvenie latviešu terminoloģijas izstrādes principi. Darba trešajā daļā ir ietverta informācija par EP Terminoloģijas koordinācijas vienības TermCoord īstenoto akadēmiskās sadarbības projektu, svarīgākās IATE terminoloģijas projekta nostādnes un projektā iesaistītajiem studentiem izvirzītās prasības. Darba ceturto daļu veido praktiskā daļa, kurā ir aplūkotas praktiskā darba metodes, darba rezultāti un analīze.

The aim of this Master thesis is to describe the author’s practical experience gained during IATE terminology research project in the area of port terminology. This Master thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with the issues of multilingualism maintained by the EU, the EU terminology database IATE and the role of port industry in the EU. The second chapter deals with the main principles of terminology in general and the main principles of Latvian terminology. The third chapter looks at the Academic Cooperation Project initiated by the Terminology Coordination Unit (TermCoord) of the European Parliament, the framework of IATE terminology research project and the main requirements to be fulfilled by students participating in the project. The fourth chapter describes the main findings and results of the above stated terminology research project.
