Ekvivalence ostas infrastruktūras terminoloģijā

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā ir apskatīts aspekts, kas visbiežāk asociējas ar kvalitatīvu tulkojumu – ekvivalence. Ekvivalence tulkošanā ir viens no centrālajiem jēdzieniem. Valodniecības jomā tieši uz to visbiežāk atsaucas tulkotāji un teorētiķi, kad nepieciešams izteikt ideālo attiecību starp pirmtekstu un mērķtekstu. Uzskati par minēto jautājumu atšķiras, jo īpaši atkarībā no tā, kādā veidā cilvēks ir saistīts ar tulkojumu, proti, tulko, novērtē tulkojumu vai to izmanto. Dažādos teksta nozīmības slāņos ekvivalences prasības atšķiras, un tajos ietvertās tulkošanas problēmas jārisina citādā veidā. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir atklāt ekvivalences neesamības problēmas ostas terminoloģijā un pievērst uzmanību latviešu ostas terminoloģijas problēmām. Bakalaura darbā tiek apskatīti ostas termini angļu un latviešu valodā, kā arī ir veikta termina berth un tā sinonīmu semantiskā analīze.

This bachelor’s paper deals with a particular aspect which is the one most often associated with the quality of a translation – equivalence. Equivalence in translation is one of the central conceptions. In the field of linguistics translators and theorists refer to this notion, when there is a need for ideal relations between source text and target text. The aim of this bachelor’s paper is to reveal the problem of non-equivalence in port terminology and to draw attention to the issues of Latvian port terminology. This paper deals with the port infrastructure terminology, its specifics in English, Latvian and partly in Russian from the aspect of equivalence and non-equivalence. The research was done on basic terms of port in English and Latvian and more thorough semantic approach analysis was done on specific infrastructure terms as berth and its synonyms.
