Latviešu lauku tūrisma terminoloģijas modernizācija izmantojot angļu valodu

Abstract

Maģistra darbs „Latviešu lauku tūrisma terminoloģijas modernizācija izmantojot angļu valodu” iepazīstina lasītāju ar tūrisma terminoloģijas modernizācijas tendencēm, kas ienākušas Latviešu valodā angļu valodas ietekmē. Tā kā latviešu valodnieku vidū vērojami dažādi viedokļi par angļu cilmes vārdu arvien izplatītāku lietojumu tendenci, tika veikts pētījums, lai noskaidrotu vai šādi redzējumi ir atbilstoši vai arī angļu cilmes terminu lietojumam latviešu valodā ir pozitīva nosliece. Pirmkārt, tika raksturoti modernizācijas procesi gan angļu, gan latviešu valodā. Maģistra darbā pilnīgi izpētītas modernizācijas tendences, veidi – kā šīs metodes pieņem valodas lietotāji. Nākamajā posmā tika izskaidroti diahroniski abu valodu procesi – apskatīta to izcelšanās, attīstība un līdzības abu valodu pārmaiņās citu valodu ietekmē. Teorētiskā analīze apskata latviešu valodas terminoloģiju – tās vēsturi, attīstību, pēdējās inovācijas, kā arī problēmas, kas ietekmē ne tikvien terminologu darbu, bet arī valodas lietotājus. Darba empīriskajā daļā veikts pētījums lauku tūrisma terminoloģijā, gan angļu, gan latviešu tūrisma informācijas materiālos. Analīze pierāda, ka terminiem, kas ienākušas un nostiprinājušās latviešu valodā modernizācijas ietekmē ir pozitīva nosliece, piedevām angļu stila frāzējumu lietojums piešķir jaunas vēsmas lauku tūrisma atmosfērai un pievilina apmeklētājus.

The paper „Modernization of Latvian Terminology via English Language in Countryside Tourism” presents the modernization tendencies observed in Latvian tourism terminology via English. As there are differing opinions among Latvian linguists that the tendency to use more and more of the terms of English origin in the Latvian terminology, the research was performed to clarify whether such viewpoints are relevant or the process of using terms of English origin in the Latvian language might be considered a positive modernization effect. Firstly there are modernization processes in both English and Latvian languages described. The paper thoroughly looks at the modernization tendencies, the ways they are accepted among the language users. The next stage explains the diachronic processes of the both researched languages – their origins, development and parallels in the changes of both language as far as it concerns the influences of other languages. Theoretical analysis deals with the Latvian terminology – the history, development and recent innovations, as well as the problems that influence not only the work of terminologists themselves, but also the language users. In the empirical part of the paper, there is a case study evolved researching countryside tourism terminology both in English and Latvian tourism information materials. The analysis provides the facts that the terms that have come into language via modernization and have settled in the language are of positive connotation, besides phrasing English style contributes a new touch to the countryside tourism atmosphere and becomes more attractive for visitors.
