dc.description.abstract | Augsnes sāļums ir viens no galvenajiem piekrastes sugu izplatības ierobežojošajiem faktoriem. Paaugstināta sāls koncentrācija nelabvēlīgi ietekmē sēklu dīgšanu piekrastes biotopos. Pētījumā izmantoja piecas Baltijas jūras piekrastē sastopamas tauriņziežu dzimtu sugu - Lathyrus maritima, Anthyllis maritima, Trifolium pratense, Trifolium fragiferum un Astragalus arenarius sēklas. Sugām novēroja dažādu sāls izturību un pēc skalošanas destilētā ūdenī visām sugām novēroja dīgtspējas atjaunošanos. 200 mM NaCl koncentrācija būtiski samazināja Astragalus arenarius, Trifolium pratense un Lathyrus maritima sēklu dīgtspēju. No piecām pētītajām sugām Astragalus arenarius sugas sēklu dīgtspēja sāls šķīduma augstākajā (200 mM) koncentrācijā bija visaugstākā. Visu sugu sēklu dīgtspēja neatgriezeniski samazinājās PEG lielākās koncentrācijas (64 mM) ietekmē. Veiktā eksperimenta rezultāti var kalpot par pamatu turpmākiem pētījumiem Baltijas jūras piekrastes sugu sēklu dīgtspējai sāļuma ietekmē. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Salinity of the soil is one of the limiting factors for coastal species to spread around. High salinity concentration negatively affects germination of coastal species. Seeds of five Fabaceae plant species found on the coast of the Baltic sea were used in the experiments: Lathyrus maritima, Anthyllis maritima, Trifolium pratense, Trifolium fragiferum and Astragalus arenarius. There was difference between the germination percentage, depending on the concentration of salinity, and all species resumed germination after rinsing with destiled water. In seeds of Astragalus arenarius, Trifolium pratense and Lathyrus maritima germination percentage dramaticaly increased at 200mM NaCl. The highest gemination percentage at the highest salt (200mM) concentration was in seeds of Astragalus arenarius. The highest concentration of PEG (64 mM) irreversibly decreased germination of all species. The results can be used as a basis for further research on the germination in high soil salinity seeds of coastal plant species of the Baltic Sea region. | en_US |
